Hi,
My name is Jonathan and I have a successful plumbing business in the southern part of the United States. One of the reasons that it is successful is that people are not swindled, people are served. This service is founded on the same principle.
I started AverageJoePlumber.com because after spending over a decade in the plumbing trade, I've seen and heard countless stories of people getting charged absurd amounts of money by unethical plumbers. I also realized that there are two types of people that call plumbers, the first type doesn't want to mess with their plumbing issues as they arise and don't mind spending their hard earned money on a plumber, the second type of person which is more common would actually do the work if they knew how. So they search and search the web trying to find a solution for their problem spending alot of time doing so.
So I began to try and come up with a solution for this problem. I thought how neat would it be to have an illustrated, downloadable e-book for instant access too the most common problems that occur during the life of a house, because there will be problems at some point.
This led to the question of "What if they have an extremely unique situation that's not in this e-book?". This led to the creation of "My Plumber". Myself and other plumbers could actually answer the specific problems through email or by phone.
This led to another idea. I've plumbed well over four thousand houses and am an expert in the field. Homeowners or handymen do remodels and need information on how to do the work up to local code standards and so it works. I could set up a service where at a low cost they could get expert knowledge for their specific project from an actual person that could walk them through their project through email or over the phone. I could also make their material list for them to eliminate needless trips to get parts and call it in if necessary to a plumbing supply house in their area.
This led to another question, what if they ran across a kink in their project that was out of their comfort level and they needed to call a plumber?. How would they know if they were getting a good service? I needed to create a network of plumbers that were of good reputation that I could refer people to in the event they needed one.
This is the story of the creation of AverageJoePlumber.com. We are not done until you are taken care of and we don't succeed unless you succeed, that's just the way it works.
Thank you,
Jon
